#Y E S #REALLY YOU GUYS THIS SCENE IS SO GREAT BECAUSE HE DOESN’T GET HER #AND NEITHER DOES SHE #i mean season 3 is about them trying so fucking hard to make it work again #and fitting themselves into each other again #but no matter how hard they try in the end it isn’t enough because both of them are different and need to move on and that’s okay #this relationship works for exactly what it is and that’s what is great about it #but OF COURSE it’s hard to let go at first because of how intensely they did love each other considering their extraordinary circumstances#like how buffy summers was the one who woke angel up #and of course buffy would be attached because she might die young so it might be the only relationship she ever has #so it really is no wonder they hold on as long as they do because it’s also arrogant in the way all first loves are arrogant #but then they do separate#and i think ‘sanctuary’ and ‘the yoko factor’ were just the most perfect places to finally close the book on them #because ‘sanctuary’ is when angel the person and the show steps out and explicitly states what it’s going to do #and ‘the yoko factor’ is basically them both going yes we’re on different paths now #AND IT’S SO GREAT
